Off Payroll IR35 Rules

Off Payroll IR35 Rules
Article by: EEBS Team

Nothing to see here – move along please!!

As we all probably know already, the IR35 off payroll rules that the Government introduced into the public sector a few years ago are to be rolled out to the private sector from 2020.

The reality is that unless you are a large business then the
changes will not apply to you.

So if two of the following three descriptions do not apply to your business:

  • more than fifty employees,
  • turnover greater than £10.2M,
  • balance sheet greater than £5.1M

The new rules will not apply.

And bear in mind that if you are caught by the new rules, they might only apply if your sub-contractors supply their services to you through their own limited companies!
